You will need to obtain a new Change of Education Level I-20 to maintain your F-1 status, if one of the following scenarios applies to you:


1. You are completing a degree or program requirements at one education level and pursuing another degree program at a different level (e.g. from a Bachelor's to a Master's program). 

    a. Enrollment in your new program must begin at the next available session start date, within 5 months.

    b. You must obtain your new I-20 for the new degree program within 60 days of your current program               completion date.

2. You are ending OPT and entering a new degree program. 

    a. You must obtain your new I-20 within the 60-day grace period following your OPT end date.

3. You are completing degree requirements and beginning a new degree program at the same education level (e.g. a second Master's degree).

    a. You must obtain your new I-20 for your second program within 60 days of your current program                  completion date.


Once you have received your letter of acceptance for the new program at Harrisburg University, you may then submit a request to the ISO for your new Form I-20.
